"Spontaneous Combustion of Nothing"

Anders Als Du - Distanz 1’ is a dance trio that takes place on the company's 15 foot tall steel structure. “Anders Als Du - Distanz 1” is a contemplation on the similarities between people and their environments. Three dancers inhabit the space within this 15-foot tall steel structure. It is an emotional piece that not only focuses on the beauty of lines and the opposing nature of body and steel but seeks to explore the reactions of people to one another in a restricting environment. The place we live in is what defines us, to some degree, and it is defined by our desires and understanding of it. The piece is performed outdoors or indoors.

It is fascinating to watch the dancers move with ease inside this cube. The floor and backdrop are artfully painted abstract landscapes of rivers and speckles of color.

"Anders Als Du - Distanz 1" has been performed indoors and outdoors.
