AUDITION NOTICE for HOLOCAUST - DAYS OF REMEMBRANCE PROJECT "Inertia"
alban elved dance company, UNCW's resident dance company, is looking for actors, dancers and people of all ages (children through seniors) for the production of their new dance theatre work 'Inertia', which will be performed in conjunction with UNCW's Holocaust Days of Remembrance, April 28-May 3. Performance is May 3. Dress rehearsals are on May 1st and May 2nd.
The rehearsal schedule will be created in cooperation with the "actors" chosen.
Audition: 4PM (until ca. 6 PM) Sunday April 20th at Kenan Auditorium (UNCW Campus, corner of Randall and College). No Dance background required. Stage experience is preferred to avoid complicated rehearsal situations. We are looking for dedicated, focused, reliable people that can memorize and follow directions and that have a special interest in being part of this important and meaningful production.
Reharsals are not paid. A very modest performance fee will be given to help offset expenses incurred through driving to and from rehearsals. More information on the event: www.uncw.edu/arts

Karola Luttringhaus is the artistic director of alban elved dance company, which became the resident dance company at UNCW through the Office of Cultural Arts in 2007. Ms Luttringhaus has worked as a choreographer, teacher and dancer for 15 years, gaining national reputation for outstanding artistic works that are performed nationally and internationally. alban elved dance company produces a full performance season at UNCW's Kenan Auditorium and the annual SARUS DANCE FESTIVAL. alban elved dance company, UNCW's resident dance company, celebrates Halloween with performances of "Aestuo - Dogma Engine", a bizarrely surreal and visually gorgeous story of creation and obsession a la "Frankenstein". The performance is followed by a dessert and wine reception with the artists and crew on the stage.
