Operational Structure

Alban elvěd dance company is a small but growing organization. The Artistic/executive Director (Karola Lüttringhaus) and the Assistant Director (Andrea Lieske) are the “core”, the sustaining organizational and creative substance in the company. Both are founding members and are graduates of NCSA. Their responsibilities include: management, booking, promotion, graphic design, fundraising, bookkeeping, grant writing, stage hand work, carpentry, marketing, costume design and production, producing, web hosting and design, as well as what should be their main focus: creative activities (choreographing, dancing and teaching). The board of directors is the “backbone” of the organization. The board chair plays a vital role in the organizations relationship to the community and all boar members are active in fundraising and support the organization not only with donations but with hands on help. Currently still made up of 5 volunteers plus the artistic/executive director and assistant director totaling 7 trustees.

It is the company’s goal to expand the board in 2005/06 to achieve a composition that is 90% volunteer and consists of 12-15 people.
