"Alban Elved Dance Company Performance
Highlights Dance Festival Opening"
The 10th annual North Carolina Dance Festival opened
Wednesday with an evening of performances by area artists.
"...The standout performance of the evening was "Nebel/Leben."
Choreographed by Karola Luttringhaus and danced by the (alban elved
dance company) of Winston-Salem, featuring Andrea Lieske, Karola
Luttringhaus and Rebecca Smith, the piece grabbed the audience and
didn't let go.
The energy of Luttringhaus's choreography is fierce,
and the talent of the three dancers was tremendous. Controlled
and acrobatic, each of the three women seemed to move across
the floor as if it were air, weightless. Luttringhaus challenged
the dancers and the audience in this dramatic show of
originality..."
