"INERTIA"

Music: The Bell Brothers (7 musicians: accordion, clarinet, electric guitar, drums, electronic effects, 2 female voices)

Inertia according to Newton is an object's resistance to change. Once brought into motion it is hard to stop. It takes an equal or greater force to stop it."Inertia" expresses the pain that we experience at the thought of the past and of the still existing racism and separatism in our world. Though directly relating to the persecution of the Jews during and before WWII, the message applies to native american indian and black history, apartheit, the discrimination and abuse of women, etc..


Jewish melodies and a strong rhythmicality mix with a colorful set and dance. 7 musicians are located near/on stage. The mood changes from contemplative to a joyful inviting thrive to exhausting physicality.
