alban elvĕd dance company is an organization with a big vision. We are a major force in the arts community of Winston-Salem and we entertain a vision of an international reputation.

We believe in the importance of kinesthetic art and see it as an enrichment and inspiration to the human sprit. We aim to make contemporary dance a more pronounced and integrated feature of the arts scene in Forsyth County through our programming and our choice of residence. We are engaging with many local artists, musicians, photographers, actors, lighting designers, etc. and we have built a unique relationship with Wake Forest University scientists. We collaborated on two arts-and-science productions “The Bridge- Free Space 2004” with the Computer science department at Wake Forest University, which premiered in December 2004 and “Fibonacci & Phi – Free Space 2003” which premiered in December 2003. Through productions like the “Free Space” collaborations and our interdisciplinary approach to dance in general, we reach out to non-typical dance audiences, inviting them to experience dance and art. As part of this program we organize an exhibition of local artists, because we find it important to support and strengthen the artist community in Forsyth County.
